HUMN 210 ERAU Daytona Beach Cars Impact on World Culture Annotated Bibliography

This assignment consists of two parts and you are required to prepare and submit two (2) separate documents as part of this activity. You will prepare and submit an annotated bibliography of three sources from the research you will gather for your research paper. You will also prepare and submit a draft of your research paper outline.

First, refer to any instructor provided feedback from your Module 6 Reseach Paper Topic Selection to ensure that your topic has been approved. Should you need to select another country to avoid duplication, be sure to do so by the second day of this module week!

Next, locate three (3) sources on your idea, invention, or technology topic that has had an impact on world culture. These sources will come from books, book chapters, peer-reviewed scholarly journals, reports, and other scholarly sources. Wikipedia and other similar sources without named authors are prohibited. Create a Descriptive Annotated Bibliography in current APA format listing each of your three sources.

FOR THE OUTLINE, IT IS 6 SOURCES IN APA STYLE.

ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY IS 3 SOURCES ONLY IN APA STYLE.

  • Your idea, invention, or technology topic that has had an impact on world culture.

For my idea/invention, the topic I chose to talk about is automobiles/cars and its impact on world culture

  • Your previous experience with this idea, invention, or technology.

It seems to be a vary basic idea to talk about but if you think about it, without a car, it is very hard to get to places and we need it on a day to day basis. When I bought my first car, it made my life so much easier. It is not fun to depend on public transportation.

  • Why are you interested in selecting this topic for your research paper?

By personal experience of having a car, instead of it being a convenience, it turned to be a necessity on a daily basis. Furthermore, a lot of people consider it a luxury and most of the times a hobby. To me, is it a luxury? No. It’s a necessity.

2) Karl Benz the three-wheeled Motor Car, known as the “Motorwagen,” in 1886. It was the first true, modern automobile. https://www.livescience.com/37538-who-invented-the-car.html (Links to an external site.)

Professor’s feedback:

Very cool! Good choice and looking forward to it (you can even narrow it down if you’d like to something like: sportscars and racing, diesel engine vehicles, how cars changed American culture in the 20th century, cars and the growth of suburbs in America in the 20th century, German or Italian car design, etc.)
