Next describe (objectively) what kind of leader you would be. Is it an effective leadership style? What are some of the possible advantages and disadvantages of that style?

Greetings everyone,

My name is Nasira Kanche, and I am a senior here at the University of West Georgia. My major is Criminology and I am taking this particular class because it is required for my major. After I graduate from UWG I plan on returning to complete my Master Degree in Public Administration. I would like to start my career path in law enforcement, I would love to work as a Detective one day to help solve crimes. Some of my hobbies include relaxing near the lake, spending time with my family and reading.

In order to attract generation Y as employees in criminal justice, I believe the job announcement should be posted more frequently with job training accessible. Many are utilizing technology such as social sites where jobs could be posted along with benefits that would be available if they qualify. If I was to work in the criminal justice administration, I would be very helpful and willing to make sure my team understand the importance of getting the job done in a timely manner while making the environment fun and respectful. Some of the advantages and possibly disadvantage of my style of leadership is that although I would making coming to work exciting I would be firm on work deadlines and accuracy. My method of having an open door policy will allow all employees the comfort in knowing I’m willing to help them advance and grow their skill set.
