3.) The Cubans who emigrated right after the 1959 revolution are often called the “Golden Exiles” because they received certain benefits upon arriving to the United States. What were these perks? Why did the US treat them differently than other Latino immigrants?

4.) This question has two parts. First, briefly summarize the waves of Puerto Rican migration to the United States. Why and when did these waves occur? Where did Puerto Ricans end up living? What sorts of jobs have they filled? Second, how has US intervention and Puerto Rico’s status as a US colony shaped Puerto Rican immigration to the US mainland?
