WK2 Analytical Psychology & Individual Psychology Theory Paper

Objective: Compare and contrast the key components of Analytical Psychology, Individual Psychology, and Horneyan Theory.

This research paper will investigate theories built largely on (or in opposition to) Freud’s theories.

• Review Chapters 3 & 4 in your textbook.
• Watch Myers Briggs personality types explained – which one are you?
• Watch Mister Simplify. Adler’s theory of individual psychology – simplest explanation ever
• Write a three- page paper that provides an overview of the key constructs of Jung and Adler’s theories. Use the APA template and refer to The Trailblazer Handbook to assist with writing this paper.
• To achieve maximum points, the following elements need to be thoroughly addressed:
  • Provide a brief overview of this week’s three primary theorists in the introduction paragraph.
  • Discuss the objectives of Jung and Adler, their perspectives on the nature of human beings, on the structure of personality, and their thoughts on religion.
  • Describe the differences between Jung and Adler.
  • The concluding paragraph needs to be your reflection of these theories (how you might apply each theory and whether the theories align with your own worldview).
  • Provide at least two sources. If you cite a dictionary, it will be in addition to the required two sources. The Bible is not to be listed on the References page but does have to be cited in-text.
