University of Virginia UN Security Council Resolution on Israel Palestine Ceasefire Discussion Board

I’m working on an anthropology discussion question and need an explanation to help me learn.

I have three discussions here. I need more than 6-8 sentences for the three discussions from a short reading and pictures. I also need three replies for the three different discussions. After I get my discussions from you, I will provide the three different discussions that you need to reply to. The replies will be more than 6 sentences too. it is necessary to use critical thinking and the amount of effort to address the questions from an anthropological perspective. I will provide the details after accepting.

This case displays the power imbalance that occurs in research among indigenous groups and in how that can be detrimental on them. The researchers had the power to control the Yanomami’s blood and without their consent which creates ethical concerns.

For example, was it right for the American researchers to visit the population that was isolated from the outside world and its various threats (e.g., measles)? Was it okay for the researchers to sample the Yanomami’s blood without their consent and knowledge of the intent of the research? Was it right for the American universities to be in possession of the blood when they weren’t the ones who extracted it? In the end, the returning of the samples and the special ceremony were respectful gestures, but the harmful impact of the experiment on the Yanomami community cannot be undone.

Map title: U.N. Security Council Resolution on Israel-Palestine Ceasefire

The map shows decisions of various nations in support of or against the U.N. Security Council Resolution on Israel-Palestine Ceasefire. It depicts an interesting trend in the kind of decision with respect to geographical position. I have noted that European and Asian countries form the majority of nations in support of the resolution. The boundaries demarcating each nation do not influence the side of the decision made but rather a historical relation between nations. For instance, China and Russia have had a close working relationship in the military, economically, and politically depicting the case on the map. Unlike other maps, it defies the confines of regional maps based on the historical evolution of mankind. COVID-19 spread trend seems to go in line with this ideology i.e. it is not defined by geographical boundaries.
