The 20th Century (from year 1901 through year 2000) saw some great inventions and/or changes. Cell phones, cars, video cameras, antibiotics, X-ray machines, refrigerators, and the Internet are a few major inventions. We also saw significant cultural shifts in some countries such as improved civil rights and women’s rights (like the right to vote), and better working conditions (such as the eight-hour workday).

In your opinion, what is one invention or change that should be remembered from the 20th century? Give specific reasons and examples to explain why this invention or change is so important. Focus each of your three body paragraphs on a different reason for your choice.
