Los Angeles Valley College APA Formatting Bibliography
I need help with an APA format for this article.
Common Student Mistakes that even A students make. Mistakes earn less points, so read here for tips so YOU can be Successful:
Do This:
- Italicize these: the journal publication name AND the volume number. See examples.
- Notice the placement of the year after the author information.
- If more than one author, use “&” after the second to the last author.
- If more than 20 authors, consult the Purdue website for guidance.
- Keep the authors’ names in the order they are listed in your article.
- The Journal Publication name has caps for the beginning of each word (with the exception of “the”, “of”, etc.).
- Use hanging indent, or indent all lines except for the first line
- Use doi link exactly as show in examples. If it is in another format, change it! If none listed (rare), omit it.
- Use caps only on proper nouns in title of article https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/capitalization/proper-nouns (Links to an external site.)
- Follow the EXACT order as listed. I’m always perplexed when students put the elements in an entirely different order. Don’t make this so difficult when it’s actually easy.
