Read “Chapter seven assignment reading” (The McDonaldization of Society), follow the ‘Link for chapter 7 assignment’ and watch the short video, then answer the following questions:

1. What are the principles of McDonalidization? Do not simply list them; define them as well.
2. What do you see as the positive consequences of McDonalidization? Be specific.
3. What do you see as the negative consequences of McDonalization? Be specific.

Remember, the idea is that modern social life is becoming ‘McDonaldized’. As such, McDonaldization is NOT only applicable to McDonalds itself, or even the fast-food industry, but is a more broadly applicable concept.
