On August 17, New York City started the Key to NYC vaccination program. New York City Mayor de Blasio’s Emergency Executive Order 225 mandates indoor dining, entertainment and fitness places to check for a proof of vaccination to COVID-19. Some of the well known private entities such as Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group restaurants, Equinox and SoulCycle, and the Broadway community voluntarily made the decision to require proof of vaccination ahead of the Mayor’s announcement. At the same time, some of the restaurant owners filed the lawsuit to stop the city’s vaccine mandate program, arguing that such mandate unfairly targets businesses struggling during the pandemic. 

You are a small restaurant owner in New York City. Write a 300 word letter to Mayor de Blasio supporting or opposing his executive order. The letter should include 1) description of your restaurant; 2) your position regarding Executive Order 225; and 3) reasons behind your position backed by three data sources.
