UNIT 4 DISCUSSION –

Post: Due Monday, November 15, 11:59 PM CST

Answer two (2) of the following questions (one of them needs to be directly related to a course reading/video):

  • Investigate whether your community has any programs to feed the needy. How can you, as a global citizen, assist in ensuring food security for the needy in your community, or in the global community?
  • Choose a nation and research its history of ethnic conflict. What are the underlying causes of this conflict? What level has this conflict reached, and have any of the issues been resolved?
  • Put yourself in the shoes of a new immigrant. You have moved to a foreign country, are unable to speak the language, and must find a place to live, a job, and necessities, such as food and water, with a limited supply of money. Outline your strategy for surviving, then becoming comfortable in your new surroundings. What assistance would you welcome from the locals?
  • Is militarism making the world a safer place? Cite examples to support your perspective
