University of Central Florida Culture in Anthropology Discussion

This module covers chapters 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 in Scupin and DeCorse.  Culture is a term anthropologists use to describe all the non-instinctual behaviors that humans employ.  It is  very important concept in understanding that much of human behavior is not instinctive at all, but is, rather, a set of learned behaviors.  So, what is culture and what role does language have in perpetuating it?  Describe, in a well-structured essay of between 300 and 500 words what culture is, how we learn and share culture, and the important role that language plays in learning and perpetuating culture and how language helps create the social structures in which we live.  Make sure you cite the textbook!
