For your initial post, choose one of the prompts below. The initial response should be developed, and supported with information from the assigned readings. It is a requirement that you incorporate the assigned course materials and indicate which ones you are using to construct the post (informal citations are fine, as in “In our lecture this week,” or “As stated in the primary source letter of de Busbecq…”, just something to indicate where your information is coming from). Note that each initial post carries with it the additional requirement to quote a specific passage (this means to literally copy and paste, word for word, using quotation marks) from the primary source (firsthand account from history) linked or attached to your prompt, and to discuss it.
