A goal for this week’s class is to critically reflect on the practice of evidentiary | forensics interviewing of children by identifying the methods used and making recommendations for change to improve the process aligned to the recommended practices for interviewing children. 

To reach the goal, you will complete the following steps: 

Step 1 – Review the recommended practices for interviewing children. (attached)

Step 2 – Watch the video of a “real” interview and take notes about what you saw, then compare the experience to the practice guidelines.   

Step 3–  Analyze the video and write up recommendations to improve the process based on the recommendations provided in the practice guideline. 

Step 4- Submit your analysis (explanation of what you witnessed) and your recommendations in an APA formatted expository essay addressing all elements of the practice guidelines. 

Review (the child interview- attached) and make sure to address the following elements of the guidelines as you watch the video and make notes.
