I’m trying to study for my Psychology course and I need some help to understand this question.

Read the attached transcript from a session. From the transcript identify two statements by the therapist that are empathic statements. What about these comments distinguish them from reflecting comments? What if any changes would you make to the statements? Were there any statements that were not empathic or places in the session where the counselor could have inserted an empathic statement?

Re-Read the transcript from 7.3 (below). Write out what your empathic response would be to this client.
