I’m working on a religion discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

One of the five pillars of Islam is almsgiving (zakat).  Their belief is that Muslims should give about 2.5% of assets to the Muslim poor.

Other religions teach the same concept, but do not limit the giving to people of their own faith.

In an original 100-word submittal – In your opinion, which is a better practice for a religion: taking care of one’s own or spreading the wealth to all?
