1.I honestly don’t believe people become violent from watching/observing violences on TV, video games, and/or internet. I say that because I for one used to love playing such games and I myself never became violent. I just found it fun but never did it make me act out in such a bad way. I also feel like it depends on the person everyone is different and there probably is a few people out there that do resort to violence because of the games they play or things they watch. So I can’t say yes or no because again everyone is different and we all act differently. My personal thoughts on the Brown vs. Entertainment Merchants Association, 564 U.S. 786( 2011) are that I also believe that kids or really anyone can’t become violent by playing such games but at the same time some people can like I said before. Though I think it’s a bit odd how they wanted to not let minors buy anything that had to do with violence. If it’s child trying to purchase it it’s understandable but like a 16/17 year old I think would be completely fine because they should know that violence is wrong in any way possible. The sexual stuff though I do think is wrong because certain games have things that a young child shouldn’t be seeing and sometimes they get curious and will click and see stuff they’re not supposing to be seeing but that’s why the child should be supervised if he or she is very young.

2.Many biological, cultural, and environmental factors are huge influences on intelligence. Intelligence comes from everything one has been through their entire life. What the brain learns in school, or from family or friends can affect intelligence. Whether it is stacking information into your brain or even learning life lessons and taking advice, intelligence can come from everything one is exposed too. Biological factors are the ones that are from the biological family and it affects intelligence by influencing the personality of one and strengthening their abilities. These traits can be passed down by parents or other biological family members. These biological factors strongly influence intelligence. Cultural influence has a big impact as well. The culture one might come from can influence intelligence heavily from the traditions, superstitions, and religion that one goes through their entire life. The things one is taught through culture stays with that person for the rest of their life and that is why culture has a heavy influence on intelligence. Environmental factors is very important as well because this is what the person hangs around. It could be friends, relationships, where this person hangs out, how much does this person go out. These factors weigh heavily on intelligence because this is what this person is going through each day. With repetition, your brain starts to normalize certain habits, good and bad. That is why environmental factors are big influences as well. I have read Larry P. vs. Wilson Riles (1979) and in my opinion, I do believe that most tests are biased, not all however. I do not think we should continue to use assessments and or aptitude tests in education because an assessment should not define one’s intelligence or knowledge of a subject. Assessments make a big chunk of total grades and if one does not perform well on one assessment, it could ruin their grade. That is my opinion on school tests and assessments.
