How have perceptions changed over the decades regarding women and policing? Do you feel it is important to have women in executive levels of policing?

believe perceptions changed over the decades regarding women and policing because people are more educated and aware that women are indeed competent to take on the same roles as men in the Police force. Women are intelligent, they can pass their physical exams, they have moral and integrity and most of all they add diversity to a predominantly male department. I do believe it’s important to have women in executive levels of policing because it adds diversity to the police culture and allows women the opportunity to take on the role that are believed to be for there male counterparts.

I’d say perceptions have changed in a better way over the decades regarding women and policing because women are more confident in their job, on top of the many more things women can do and how comfortable they’ve gotten. Yes I feel it is important to have women in executive levels of policing because women know things men don’t and can be better at certain things men can’t along with gender equality women should definitely be in executive levels of policing.
