Project Two the Newsroom Video and Discussion Post

1.) Although America does have freedoms other countries do not possess, I agree that America is not the greatest country in the world but it could be.

2.) Topic Sentences: The primary reason America is not the greatest country in the world is that America only leads in a few categories. Today, American’s try so hard to not improve their country and just look at its faults. Also, Americans spend a substantial amount as a share of their GDP to make these sectors thrive.

The U.S spends more than 26 countries combined in defense. Peter G. Peterson Foundation (2021) supports that the U.S spends $778 billion on defense, equivalent to the next 11 countries combined. Also, the other leading categories: the number of incarcerated citizens and capital and angel believers, are not positive indicators of greatness. American’s today don’t point out the areas we lead in just what is unsuccessful in America.

4.) It is important to take this information and help people understand the existing problems and address them. I will describe the problems, identify research questions and write about what we can improve on in America. Why America is do divided on why or why not America is the greatest country in the world.
