1. Assessment is a critical component of special education and requires knowledge and understanding of assessment practices and the provisions required by federal law (IDEA). Because learners with EBD have both learning and behavioral needs, it is more complicated to assess them. The purpose of this assignment is to understand assessment and evaluation as it relates to a learner that has, or is suspected of having, EBD.
   Create a 2-page resource that provides detailed information on assessment and evaluation as it relates to emotional and behavioral disorders. Include information on the following components in your resource:
   • Legal requirements and process
   • Relevant background information to be collected

   • Screening
