Power Point Assignment

Use Microsoft Word to create a new Power Point presentation file describing your major at GUST. Your power point file should be designed as follows:

  1. Open a new blank presentation
  2. Select any design theme of your choice for your presentation
  3. From the slide master, add GUST’s log at the top right corner in the first top slide in the slide master.
  4. On the title slide you should have the title as (My Major at GUST is ******). Replace the stars with your major. On the subtitle placeholder of the title slide, you should write your name and your student ID.
  5. Add a new slide using the “Title and Content” layout, and add “***** ‘s Personal Information” as the title of the slides where you need to replace the stars with your first name (eg. Nada’s personal information). In the content of this slide, add three bullet points stating any three facts about yourself (eg. Full name, Date of birth, major, nationality, favorite color, hobbies, etc.).
  6. Add a new slide using the “Title and Content” layout, and add the title “Meet *** in person” replacing the stars with your first and last name. In the content place holder, add a video of yourself that has a maximum of one minute where you describe your major at GUST. The video should be a maximum of 1-minute long only. In this video start by introducing yourself “Hi, my name is …”, then state your major “I am majoring in ….”, then briefly describe what your major is about.
  7. Add a new slide using “Title only” layout, and add the title “My life as a student”. Insert in this slide four pictures of you doing certain activity (eg. During online classes, playing tennis, chatting with a friend, driving a car, etc. ). Make sure all pictures have the same dimensions (Height and width), and also make sure they are aligned with the title. Add a 3pt blue picture border to all your picture.
  8. Add a new slide using the “Title and Content” layout, and add the title “Major Selection”. In the contents placeholder, add three bullet points to state three reasons for selecting your major. Change the bullet points from dark filled circles to check marks.
  9. Add a new slide using the “Comparison” layout, and add the title “****** Courses” where you replace the stars with your major (eg. Accounting, Finance, MIS, etc.). In the title of the left content placeholder, type “Major Required Courses”, and in the title of the right content placeholder, type “Major Elective Courses”. Then check your major sheet and list the codes of all your major required courses on the left hand content space holder, and your major elective courses on the right hand content place holder. (eg. MIS200, MIS206, etc.)
  10. Add a new slide using the “Two Content” layout, and add the title “My Performance at GUST”.
    • In the content placeholder at the left side, add a table with two columns labeled as “Course” and “Grade”.
    • In the first column add any three courses that you already completed at GUST (if are a new student and you have not finished any course yet, then list courses that you are currently enrolled in).
    • Under the second grade add the grades (out of 100) that you obtained in the listed courses (if you listed your current courses, then write your estimation of the grade that you will get in the listed courses).
    • In the content placeholder at the right side, add a chart that represents the data on the table. You are free to choose any chart type to represent your grades in the listed courses. Below is only an example of how this slide could look like:
  11. Add an “Agenda” slide right after the title slide of your presentation. The Agenda should list as bullet points all the titles of the other slides in your presentation.

Note:

  • Make sure you have at least one sentence in the notes ‘section of each slide. Try to write notes that are meaningful and match the slide’s content.
  • Add footers to all slides and make sure that the footers show: the date, the slide number, and finally your name and student ID should be added in the footer. Make sure you don’t show the footer on the title slide.
  • Apply different transitions for each slide in your presentation.
  • Make sure to add different animations in each slide.
