What you write is very similar to what you had in the first part of the paper. 

remember we talked about perceptions and your abstract and statement of the problem is quite different. (The perception is the university’s students )

Your hypotheses are not there. For example, the null should be something like: there is not relationship between capital punishment and crime rates or capital punishment does not reduce crime rates… 

why is racism there? This part is unrelated to the research 

take a close look at your null and think about whether or not the alternative hypothesis makes sense.

By the way, you can’t have a positive and a negative one. you need to pick one: no effect/effect, no effect/positive effect, no effect/negative effect, positive effect/ negative effect, negative effect/positive effect. 

The alternative is always the opposite of the null what would your alternative hypothesis be?
