In the previous assignments, you were introduced to two separate cases. M1.1 set the scene for a case that will run through the entire course and M1.2 presented you with a specific scenario that is more limited in scope and will only apply to this module. In your career, you will be in situations that are unique and that require you to interpret what you should do based on other situations that are similar but with distinct differences. The two cases you have seen to this point are not directly related. However, there are some parallels related to a specific constitutional amendment that will be discussed in more detail next week.

For this discussion, consider both scenarios from this module. Respond to the following prompts in your initial post:

• What parallels can you draw between the two scenarios?

• Is there a specific constitutional amendment that you believe applies to the events in both cases?
• Would Officer Slager have been justified in asking Mr. Scott to exit his vehicle in order to perform a search?
