It can be relatively easy to discuss your business venture in the goal to make a sale. However, could you create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) related to your product/service without selling something? Many entrepreneurs do not realize that often times you can make a sale without “in your face” selling. Think about the various health related PSAs, weather related PSAs, etc. It is not about selling, it is about education, which can lead to additional research and products that address what is listed in the PSA.

For this discussion:

• Create a 3-minute (maximum 4-minute) PSA on a topic related to your business venture. For example, if your business venture is a new antivirus software, you may discuss the dangers of online identify theft.
• Prepare your PSA with audio and multimedia (tables, figures, etc.).
• PSA must be in your own words.
• Post your PSA in the discussion by Day 4 so that classmates have to time to review and provide feedback.
• In your discussion post, not in the PSA, ensure that you state the business venture also. This will help classmates determine if your PSA would lead them to search for your product.
