Final Project: The final project will parallel a dissertation proposal in powerpoint format. Design
an experiment. Include background on the area under study. Choose the independent and
dependent variable. Include the experimental hypothesis and null hypothesis. Include the
method (participants; procedures sections) and the experimental design (cross-sectional,
longitudinal, between/within subjects, etc.). Include the results section (what statistical tests
are appropriate for the data collected), and a statistical interpretation of the expected results.
Lastly, include whether you expect the hypothesis will be supported (hypothetically) and what
the implications of the expected results are. The project will be created in PowerPoint format.
Each slide will cover a separate element of the project (background, variables/hypothesis,
method, experimental design, expected results, interpretation/application of results).
