1.Describe the reasons for the dysfunction as shown in the video.

The reasons  for the dysfunction in the in the video is because of various reasons based on the workers ability to complete their workloads and the reason being that two of their workers are not at work and so the company is not meeting its sales goals

When process becomes more important than people-we see that the work is more important the manager wants the people  to meet their goals and failure to that you will have to loose your jobe this is a type of dysfunctional leadership shown by the manager

when collaboration is confused with having a meeting-the workers collaboration is confused by holding a meeting instead of working together to complete their work. This is another type of dysfunctional leadership dysfunctional displayed.

When potential is held in higher regard than performance, and when independent thinking takes a backseat to conformity the workers are held in higher regards than performance and we see two of the workers are not at work because they didn’t meet the goal.

The supervisor did not display qualities of strategic leadership because she was not Motivational –because Strategic leaders must have a zeal for work that goes beyond money and power and also they should have an inclination to achieve goals with energy and determination and she did not motivate but on quarreled them another reason is because she was not Compassion Strategic leaders must understand the views and feelings of their subordinates, and make decisions after considering them. She did not understand any of their feelings or listen to them this another reason is because she did not Self-control Strategic leaders must have the potential to control distracting/disturbing moods and desires, i.e., they must think before acting. She entered into the meeting while moody and talked harsh to the employees. Another reason is because she did not display her Social skills Strategic leaders must be friendly and social. She was not friendly to the employees and didn’t listen to any of their words the final reason is that she  did not have Self-awareness Strategic leaders must have the potential to understand their own moods and emotions, as well as their impact on others she did understand her moods and emotions just because the manger had quarreled her too.

The manager should have created a focus with the employees by developing an inspiring, energizing strategy together with their team because this strategy is the one that combines the need for future profitability of the business with the need for employees to contribute to a greater purpose and also motivate them understanding them by letting them speak openly what changes should be done for effective to be accomplished properly.
