In higher education, capstone courses, also known as senior seminars, offer undergraduate students nearing graduation the opportunity to summarize, evaluate, and integrate some or all of their college experience. Enrollments in sections of senior seminars and capstone courses are most often kept to a few students. This course is generally treated as academic major or core requirements and is one academic term in length.
The capstone experience is a regular semester course and students do receive a grade for this course. They must complete the requirements of the course before they can graduate. Listed are the requirements:
The Unit 1 Annotated Bibliography Template includes the following elements:

  • Annotated bibliography with originally developed summaries:
    • 10+ relative to leadership, economics, ethics, professional standards, and laws
    • Reference list (1 page)

1) Four separate sections:
The student must complete four sections of the capstone report:
1) Introduction
2) Review of the literature
3) Discussion
4) Conclusion
Each will receive a grade 0 – 100%.
2) Final Paper:
The paper is to contain the following sections:
Capstone Outline: Title Page (1 page)
Disclaimer (1 page)
Table of Contents (1 page)
Chapter 1: Introduction (3-4 pages) a. Background to the Study

  1. Problem Statement
  2. Purpose of the Study
  3. Nature of the Study
  4. Significance of the Study

Chapter 2: Review of the Literature (4-5 pages)

  1. Introduction and Overview
  2. Review of Variables to be investigated
  3. Review of other Studies
  4. Summary

 
Chapter 3: Discussions (3-4 pages)

  1. Problem Statement
  2. Presentation of your findings to support your problem statement
  3. Presentation of subsequent research questions/hypothesis and findings
  4. Summary

 
Chapter 4: Conclusion (2-3 pages)

  1. Discussion of Findings
  2. Conclusions
  3. Recommendations

List of References (1 page)

Completing the four sections are to be enhanced and all corrections are to be incorporated.  The student is to submit the final paper for receiving a grade.
The final project will receive a grade “0” – 100%.
Grading Issues:
Explanation for each case paper and final term paper will be provided in Moodle with Rubric for grading the assignment.  Late case assignments will be graded with a reduction of one letter grade after the due date. A one week grace period for submitting the late paper from the due date assigned is allowed for submitting late papers. Papers submitted after the grace period will be graded as “0.”
IF THE TERM PAPER IS LATE A GRADE OF “0” WILL BE RECORDED RECEIVING A ZERO!  No grace period for late submissions.
