Legal Assistant – Part-Time SomaLogic, Inc.

Position Summary: SomaLogic is a privately-owned biotechnology company that delivers precise and personalized health insights using its proprietary technology, which measures changes in thousands of different proteins in blood and other sample types. We are a dedicated team of science-based colleagues working to maximize health and wellness for people around the world. We are seeking a Contracts Administrator with the expertise and knowledge to help in meeting our company goals and objectives. The part-time Legal Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative tasks related to SomaLogics legal operations. This position will provide administrative support for the Legal department, specifically supporting the Contracts Administrators and may serve as a point-of-contact for other legal services. This position will report to the Contracts Manager. Key Job Responsibilities: Assist contracts administrators, as needed, with respect to SomaLogics contract process, including data entry, contract request intake and assignment, and routing approved contracts for signatures Assist with tracking expiring and auto-renewing contracts to ensure continued performance and compliance Assist with managing the Legal Dept. filing systems and other document management databases housing Legal Dept. records and correspondence Assist with tracking delegations of signature authority Exhibit a professional level of legal service by timely responding to requests for documents or status, gathering information, and updating company employees on contract status Effectively communicate with stakeholders to facilitate completion of Legal Dept. projects and initiatives Perform other administrative duties as necessary and appropriate to support the efficient operation of the Legal Dept. Exercise appropriate discretion in working with confidential and privileged information General Qualifications: Education Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Paralegal or Legal Assistant background is a plus. Skills and experience Proficiency with data entry required Excellent verbal and written communication Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products (i.e., MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams) Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented with ability to focus attention on the minute details of assigned tasks Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, with a strong adherence to deadlines Prior experience in a legal environment (either in-house or with a law firm) is a plus Work Environment: This position may work remotely or in a typical office environment and requires extended periods of time working at a computer.
