HU Wk 3 Chemical Reactions Spectra Diagnostic Peaks & Quintet Peak Worksheet

I strongly believe that you should be using any resource you can to help you learn the material. HOWEVER, if you use a resource in your answer and don’t mention it (you don’t have to do any formal citation but you need to state that you used xyz resource) this is a problem. This becomes an academic integrity violation when your answer contains information not provided in the question. For example: if I tell you that at 1.4 ppm there is a peak that integrates to 3H and has a triplet splitting pattern, your answer should NOT contain “at 1.33 ppm, the 3H, t signal corresponds to the terminal methyl.” Nowhere do I have 1.33 ppm. This tells me that you did not attempt to answer the question and instead attempted to pass off someone else’s work as your own, especially if you do not mention the resource used. That’s an academic integrity violation and will be submitted to an AI facilitator for further investigation.

In short: if your answer is not your own work, does not contain mention of an outside reference, and/or contains information not provided in the question, you’re flirting with an academic integrity violation which means that you will be dropped a letter grade from whatever proposed grade we agree upon. I would also advise you to avoid using reactions I haven’t mentioned unless you explain where you learned it.
