I’m working on a environmental science discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Some might argue that international climate change agreements should permit developing countries to increase their greenhouse gas emissions as they industrialize and develop their economies. After all, wealthy developed countries like Canada didn’t have limits placed on their emissions when they developed and industrialized. Developed countries should therefore bear the burden of decreasing global greenhouse gas emissions. 

Do you agree with this argument? Why or why not? In your response, be sure to consider both the health effects of climate change and the fact that when countries become wealthier they have more money available to spend on health care for their citizens.
