Physical Therapy for Balance & Neurological Disorders

There are two types of Neurological Disorders, those that affect your Central Nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and Peripheral Nervous system (Peripheral nerves that come out of the spinal cord). When there is an impairment within the Neurological system it commonly causes difficulty walking, impaired balance and difficulty controlling movements.

Different types of Neurological disorders that can affect your balance and gait are:

• Parkinson’s Disease
• Stroke
• Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Brain Injury
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Neuropathy
• Guillain Barre Syndrome
