This week we’re focusing quite a bit on measurements and significant figures.

Identify an object that you can easily measure the length of with a ruler.  Measure the length in both inches and centimeters.  Take the object and the ruler to each person in your household that is capable of getting a measurement and ask them to do the same, but don’t share what anyone else measured.  Record the results.

• an image of the ruler and the object you measured
• your results
• the results of the rest of the people in your household
• a discussion about any differences in the measurements – why might they vary?  Should they have varied?
• a discussion about who is most likely to get the correct accuracy and precision from the measurements

By Sunday night at 11:59pm, please reply to at least two of your peer’s posts. When you respond to your classmates comment on their results.
