Part 2: Organic paper
Pick one subject of interest to you, find a connection to organic chemistry, explore that connection over 3 typed pages. Rules for the paper are the same as the rules for my in-person class presentations: be short, be interesting, relate something from the real world back to Organic Chemistry. This is not a paper where I am going to be picky about format, grammar, or references. Make an attempt to make it flow well, do proofread for typos and obvious errors, but don’t get lost in the details. This is a paper to demonstrate a passion of yours, and clearly and correctly connect that passion to Organic Chemistry. Points will be lost for: incorrect chemistry, papers shorter than 3 typed pages (or longer than four), papers that read like they were written to satisfy a course requirement rather than an opportunity to explore an interest.
