Use the facts from #5, to write a complete inverted pyramid news story.

Play out all relevant facts. (Depending on the length of your paragraphs, this is at least a 6-paragraph story.)(500-600 words is ok)

Write as though this is for the Local section of the Washington Post. Use the City Directory, Appendix A, to check all spellings and addresses, etc.

• Look for the “news” in this set of facts. What is the latest twist on this story? That is your lead.
• This is sensitive information, but be mindful that the judge was convicted. That means that the details from witnesses and the trial can be written about, but take care with your wording. 
• Also, consider whether you should use a delayed identification or “Blind Lead”.
