UCB Problem of Authenticity for The You Tube Creator Annotative Bibliography

The purpose of this assignment is for you to write an annotative bibliography (you’ve already done this – yay!). You should have reviewed the lecture page: How to Write an Annotated Bibliography. This lesson included a presentation explaining an annotated bibliography with examples and a template for you to reference and use as needed.

Directions

For this assignment, complete an annotated bibliography for the three (3) sources you found. You have already written summaries for each of your sources and completed a draft, which we reviewed together during conferences. Now, you should revise your draft and submit a final draft.

Step 1: Set up your document (what it should look like)

Paper Set Up:

Use the Annotative Bibliography example to set up your paper format.

MLA Format:

a heading in the top left corner with your name, class, instructor and date

a centered title (Annotated Bibliography or your topic name)

12-point font, Times New Roman

a header, 1-inch margins and *single-spaced

Annotations:

Copy your three sources with citations and annotations

For the citations, use MLA format and listed alphabetically

For the annotations, review your already written summary and copy them into your paper

Step 2: Questions to think about when reviewing your annotations…

Before copying your academic summary of your source, review the content by answering the following questions.

Ask yourself, does my citation include…

author(s) of the article?

title of the article?

title of the container? or name of source/publisher?

when was it published?

other necessary information

Ask yourself, does my summary include…

the author’s name? Their credentials or background?

the publisher’s (or title of container) information?

the main idea – claim or argument?

the main points with supporting details?

a conclusion about what the author thinks?
