• Review the video about word-painting featured at the beginning of this lesson.
• Find an example of modern music that uses word-painting. You may not use any examples that were used in this lesson. 
• Embed your chosen song by adding a live YouTube link (indicated by blue font). 
• Use at least two musical vocabulary terms in bold font to describe exactly how the song uses word-painting. Please be very clear and specific! Your response should demonstrate that you understand what these words mean.
• Provide time markers to indicate exactly where the word-painting is heard. 
• Remember: word painting has nothing to do with what you are seeing, only with what you are hearing.For example, if the lyrics have the word “dance” in them and the music video shows people dancing, that is not an example of word painting. For something to be word-painting, the meaning of the words must be reflected in the music, not the visuals.
