You can explore your own response by carefully monitoring your own television viewing and computer activity (i.e., playing computer games or surfing the Internet) and recording how many violent episodes you see in each show or activity. A “violent episode” is any behavior aimed at harming another living creature that wishes to avoid such treatment. Does the skill they name relate to their field of study, to their favorite hobby, to their political beliefs? Do you agree with their self-efficacy assessments? Do they agree with your own self-efficacy assessments?
