EXPLANATION: informs the audience about a concept, issue, policy, or social practice.

DEMONSTRATION: provides the audience with a physical demonstration of how something works or is done.

DEFINITION: identifies the essential qualities and meaning of something.

All informative speeches have an identifiable introduction, body, and conclusion along with clear transitions. Along with your speech outline that you will be submitting, you must attach a “Works Cited” page (according to APA or MLA format) which lists the references you used for your speech.
