EXPLANATION: informs the audience about a concept, issue, policy, or social practice.

DEMONSTRATION: provides the audience with a physical demonstration of how something works or is done.

DEFINITION: identifies the essential qualities and meaning of something.

All informative speeches have an identifiable introduction, body, and conclusion along with clear transitions. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO ADD TRANSITIONS TO YOUR SPEECH BETWEEN EACH SPEECH SECTION AS WELL AS BETWEEN EACH MAIN POINT (as shown in the sample outline below), so you do not get points deducted from your speech score.Informative Speech

Along with your speech outline that you will be submitting, you must attach a “Works Cited” page (according to APA or MLA format) which lists the references you used for your speech.
