During the course of this class we have read a nonfiction anthology, a fictional novel, and we are starting in on Maus, a non-fictional comic book. For this week’s discussion, you will need to write at least one academic paragraph. This medium is usually associated with fictional super heroes, but when thinking about audience and purpose, why might an author decide to tell their serious, non-fiction narrative through this medium? Think about things such as how comic book audiences are usually portrayed or if there are any other social justice comics you can think of.
