There are three parts to this assignment.

1. Create a diagram based on Mauricio’s report. See the three specific areas in the assignment.
2. Modify the lesson using the template provided. Apply the three UDL Principles of Representation, Action and Expression and Engagement.
3. A rationale. In your rationale, describe how you modified the lesson using the UDL Principles of Representation, Action and Expression and Engagement. To earn full credit, write a paragraph for each UDL Principle using the terminology to describe your modifications. For example, you might start your first paragraph with, ” For Representation, I used a video to introduce Regions. You would add other ways you modified the lesson to show how you changed the presentation of your lesson from the traditional lesson given in the template. You would then add a paragraph on Action and Expression and one on Engagement.

I suggest you do the readings on UDL under Learning Activities for Week Six. I find the following checklist very helpful when applying the UDL Principles.
