Gabriel Marquez’s short story, “A very old man with enormous wings,” is one filled with magical realism.

The story basically talks of an old man who has wings and is mistaken for a fallen Angel. He passed through many trials and tribulations under the roof of Pelayo and his wife who wish to exploit him. However his wounded wing heals and he leaves the family.
