GCU What Does Public Speaking Look Like in The Twenty First Century Questions

“In a presentation, through training and practice, you can develop in your way a state of being ever ready.” – Garr Reynolds

To ensure your Persuasive Presentation is delivered in the most authentic and natural way possible, film a video presentation of yourself rehearsing your delivery. This will allow you to experience one formal practice session before the final video presentation, and it will provide you with feedback on your delivery and execution.

Proceed to the “Instructions” section for detailed instructions on your initial post.

The final Persuasive Presentation will contain both video of yourself presenting and a slideshow; however, for the Delivery Rehearsal, you will only focus on the video presentation component.

Don’t forget the following requirements of the Persuasive Presentation:

  • Must use the topic approved by your instructor from the Module 4 Discussion Forum
  • Must include an introduction, body, and conclusion using Duarte’s 10/80/10 model and the format outlined on the Module 5 Assignment Persuasive Presentation Outline
  • Must incorporate outline revisions suggested by your instructor from the Module 5 Persuasive Presentation Outline Assignment
  • Must include research from three sources along with proper citations in APA format
  • Must utilize ethos, pathos, and logos
  • Must be 7-8 minutes

Be sure to post your Delivery Rehearsal by the 4th day of the module week.

Proceed to the “Response Posts” section for detailed instructions on your response posts.
