Writing Homework Help
Lessons for Children by Anna Laetitia Barbauld Reflection
I’m working on a writing question and need support to help me study.
Mrs. Barbauld realized that a book for the youngest reader (or the young listener) had to be constructed differently from books for older readers. She seems limited, however, to working with white space and text. You have just finished looking at the picture books of Kate Greenway and Beatrix Potter. Imagine that Mrs. Barbauld had been alive at when the picture book concept appeared and technology for easier illustration existed. How would have first ten pages of “Lessons for Children” been different? Make 2 significant suggestions and be sure to refer to the content of her text.
