Along with your Final Draft, please submit the following Macroanalysis of your essay:

In a separate document,  create a chart (see below)

Then, do the following macroanalysis of your final draft:

What: In the What column, write down the topic of each paragraph. That is, what is each paragraph trying to do? Write in complete sentences, but try to use as few words as possible. It helps to number each paragraph for easy referencing later.
When revising your own work, these notes should tell you if each paragraph is focused and clear.

How: In the How column, write down how the paragraph topic advances the overall argument of the text. That is, how is each paragraph trying to do? Again, be brief.

Finally, assess your own analysis: are there areas (sentences, paragraphs, word choice, etc) in your draft that you’ve identified as unclear, repetitive, or not needed? If so, revise your final draft before submitting it
