Synchronous Materials and Tasks [Anticipated Time: 3 hours]

  • Upload a plan for ensuring that your classroom is coherent, continuous, and consistent. Be sure that your plan includes details that can be directly supported by the asynchronous and synchronous materials/resources.
    • Your plan must include specific methods for maintaining a coherent, continuous, and consistent classroom environment. Think about how:
      • you will begin/continue to enforce rules, consequences, and rewards
      • effective your current procedures are––do you need to adjust any of them?
      • you cultivate rapport with each student
      • you communicate with parents
      • you engage students in learning
    • Your plan must include at least three specific goals that you have set, how you will measure those goals, and why you set that goal. See the example below.

Example: Make at least one positive parent contact each school day––this can be through a phone call, email, text, or note home.

Example: On my parent contact log, I will put a heart next to each positive contact that I make.

Example: I have noticed that each time I contact a parent they expect for it to be a negative comment. Additionally, I want to work on building a partnership with parents––which must include positive and negative contact.
