Please follow the prompt throughly….Poverty and income inequalityDiscussion post that leads to this assignment Poverty and inequality are a factor that exists in almost every developed culture around the world. Observing the development scene closely, one tends to notice an interesting shift over the few years. Currently, charity organizations such as the World Bank and Oxfam aim to end poverty and inequality. The argument of growth elasticity expounds that rising levels of inequality weakens the growth effects on the reduction of poverty (Nasir & Mridha, 2017). Research on poverty and inequality is essential to determine the correlation between the two. In order to improve and reduce poverty in America, there is a need to improve on the government policies. Additionally, the government should offer stable jobs that help the economy and those in need. There are two ways of thinking about the issue of inequality. The first option is all about the rich, and the second is about the poor. The second option is what matters. Income inequality in the US has dramatically increased in recent years. Poverty and inequality negatively impact low-income families (Hassan, Bukhari & Arshed, 2020). For instance, adults and children living in poverty experience worse health outcomes, such as increased mortality rates and increased risk of mental health conditions. Poverty also mounts considerable stress on the families, a primary contributing factor for interparental conflict (Hassan, Bukhari & Arshed, 2020). Conflict is a precursor for adverse child outcomes. Similarly, poverty causes housing overcrowding and instability that can affect family relationships.Nasir and Mridha (2017) established that income growth does not reduce poverty at a 1.37 per cent rate for a one per cent growth in income when inequality is constant. These findings established that to alleviate poverty, conditions of reducing the inequality gap have to be factored in.ContentServer.asp.pdf  Download ContentServer.asp.pdf ReferenceHassan, M.
