Okay, folks, this assignment is in two parts.

Part 1: Print out and read “The Making and Persistence of the American Dream” by John Kenneth White and Sandra Hanson and include at least 3 annotations per page (30 minimum).

Your annotations should keep track of the main ideas of the article, especially those that focus on why the American Dream endures or persists (you’ll need them for your essay assignment!). 2. In what ways has this article deepened your understanding about the American Dream? For example, what are some of the new ideas and/or historical references in this article that helped you get a fuller picture of the American Dream? Since it was published before the Trump presidency, perhaps you want to reflect on how the Dream has changed since its writing? Be specific and detailed!
