Assignment 2: Identifying a Gap or Need

• Identify a gap or need for programs that directly or indirectly serve older adults. You may already have an idea that you would like to pursue based on the readings or your own experience, or you may want to conduct an online search to see what ideas have been identified by others.
• To gain support for your idea, you must demonstrate that there is a real need for your proposed service or program. Describe how you know there is a gap or need by citing at least 3 credible sources (e.g. journals, government websites, professional associations).
• Propose a service or program that you believe will address the gap or need. Be as detailed and specific as possible.
• Identify the goals of the service or program. How will the identified gap or need be addressed by your program? Who will benefit and how?
