Chapter: 6: Learning.

1)“Classical Conditioning”

Please write about an example of classical conditioning in your life. Be sure to include the four steps and all key terms (US, UR, CS, & CR) in the process.

• Keep a “behavior journal” for one day.
• In the journal, record some of your behaviors and reflect on how those behaviors were learned (e.g., tying shoes, jumping at the sound of a loud noise, smiling at a friend, saying thank you)..
• Identify two behaviors acquired through operant conditioning, two through classical conditioning
• In your learning pod discussion, share the one behavior that was learned through classical conditioning and one behavior that was learned through operant conditioning.
• Try to explain how each were learned through classical or operant conditioning.
• Ask for help from your classmates if you’re not sure. Reply to the other students in your learning pod to help them with understanding example behaviors learned through classical or operant conditioning.
