Assignment: Answer questions 1 and 2:

Part 1: Describe Irby’s relationship with her father. Use specific details from throughout the essay to defend your position. By this I mean, if you think he was abusive, what quotes and/or examples can you find as proof? If you think he loved her at times, what quotes and/or examples do you have to defend this position? 

Part 2: What do you think of the last paragraph of the essay, which begins “SB ashes are tucked away…” and ends with  “The sheets and duvets within are decidedly unfolded” (92).  Why do you think of this paragraph? What makes it significant?
